Day of discussion and talks with science policy expert Kei Koizumi

  • The Rockefeller University

The recent March for Science highlighted the increasing concern over the disconnect between scientific support and policy makers in government. It is becoming very clear that failing to bridge this gap can have far-reaching effects on several sectors such as research funding, healthcare, innovation, environmental sustainability, and many others.

PRISM and SEPA are excited to welcome Kei Koizumi, former Assistant Director for Federal R&D and Senior Advisor to the Director for the NSTC under President Obama, to the Tri-I community for a day of discussions and talks.

Mr. Koizumi's visit will comprise multiple events. We hope you can join us for all of them!

11:00 am: Live podcast interview with Science Soapbox

Please email sciencesoapbox@gmail.com to register

1:30 pm in Caspary Auditorium: Mr. Koizumi's talk titled "Policy for Science, Science for Policy, and Science for All: Lessons Learned at the Obama White House, or Why I Keep Marching"
